Property Haunting Certification
A formal inquiry into the material, historical, and social conditions under which a haunting is alleged—or might reasonably be expected—to occur.
Nature of the commission
The property owner purchases an investigation, not a result.
The Society’s certification program applies the methods of Historically Informed Ghost Hunting to the examination of hotels, inns, historic properties, private residences, and other qualifying sites. An audit is commissioned without prejudice to its outcome.
Every determination is bounded by the site, the conditions of examination, and the period in which the investigation occurred. A finding of no haunting is not a universal metaphysical guarantee; it is a statement that the audit established no independent paranormal agency under the Society’s published standard.

Every qualifying audit concludes with a written findings report, an archival paper certificate, an individual registry number, and a public verification page where the owner has elected public registration. A fabricated plaque may be commissioned after the finding is issued.
