Apply for a Property Audit

Applications begin with a preliminary property dossier. The purpose of this review is to establish authority, suitability, scope, and the conditions under which a responsible investigation could proceed.

The application concerns a property, not the treatment of a person.

The Society accepts inquiries from property owners, authorized operators, institutional representatives, and residents able to grant lawful access to the site. Hotels, inns, museums, theaters, restaurants, historic houses, and private residences may be considered.

Acceptance is discretionary. The Society may decline an inquiry where authority is uncertain, safe access cannot be established, the requested outcome has been predetermined, or the circumstances fall outside a property certification and research service.

What to Include in an Initial Inquiry

  1. 01

The property’s name, location, type, approximate age, and present use

  2. 02

Your relationship to the property and authority to commission an audit

  3. 03

A concise account of any reported phenomena, including dates where known

  4. 04

Relevant documentary history, prior investigations, or inherited ghost-lore

  5. 05

Areas available or unavailable to investigators

  6. 06

The degree of public identification desired in a future registry record

  7. 07

Proposed dates, operating constraints, and the principal site contact

Scope of service

The certification program is not an emergency, medical, psychiatric, therapeutic, pastoral, or exorcistic service.

The Society does not determine whether a person is being followed, persecuted, possessed, controlled, or individually targeted by an unseen agent. It does not provide crisis intervention or advice concerning personal safety, health, or treatment.

Immediate danger, suspected criminal activity, unsafe structural conditions, gas or electrical hazards, and urgent health concerns should be directed to the appropriate qualified local service. A property audit cannot substitute for those forms of assistance.

Introduce the property to the Society.

Applications are presently initiated by email. Please use the subject line “Property Audit Inquiry” and include the preliminary dossier above. Sensitive records should not be attached until the Society has replied with further guidance.
